Betplay and Súper Astro continue to drive growth of Colombian gambling market

Betplay and Súper Astro remain two of the most profitable and favoured gambling brands in Colombia according to recent data published by gambling regulator Coljuegos.

In 2025 alone, both products, belonging to the Corredor Empresarial group, paid $347.587 billion in license fees

“These resources paid to the Nation were transferred to fund the health system. They also represent an 11% increase compared to the license fees paid by both products in 2024,” said Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos.

Similarly, between January and the first half of March 2026, Betplay and Súper Astro have already paid around $106.259 billion, which is a 1.56% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

“From the agency, we have managed to strengthen the industry of new games, including Súper Astro and online betting. That is why every day we continue to make history in collecting resources for health from the sector,” said the president of Coljuegos.

In 2025, Betplay saw deposits of $5.5 trillion from bettors. Additionally, the platform contributed $745.594 billion in VAT, resources that were allocated to support peace in the territories. Meanwhile, in 2025 Súper Astro reported sales of $754.820 billion.

“Our commitment is to continue protecting the legal industry. Therefore, we will keep fighting tirelessly against those who operate unlicensed gambling and harm both the entrepreneurs and the resources destined for the health of Colombians,” concluded Hincapié.

Super Astro represents about 13 per cent of the national gaming market. Betplay meanwhile is the leading sports betting and online casino platform in Colombia.
