BetMGM has launched a new UK‑focused casino marketing campaign, marking the first activation under its ‘The Real Deal’ brand platform.
The campaign, unveiled on Wednesday, 1 July, is designed to position the operator’s Las Vegas links as a differentiator to rival brands.
BetMGM is operated in the UK by LeoVegas Group, which itself is owned by Las Vegas giant MGM Resorts International.
BetMGM was first launched in the US as a JV between MGM and Entain. Outside of the US, LeoVegas Group runs the brand for its parent.
BetMGM is also live in Sweden, the Netherlands and Brazil.
Writing about the launch on LinkedIn, marketing director Dean Leyland said: “Most brands end up competing on the same things. Bigger offers. Louder advertising. Similar products. Similar claims.
“And while plenty of online casinos use ‘Vegas’ as a theme, or even in their name, only one is backed by over 50 years of authentic Las Vegas heritage.
Leyland said the new campaign, which features a taxi passenger being taken through Las Vegas during different eras, “tells a simple story”.
“BetMGM isn’t inspired by Vegas. It’s backed by it,” he said. “Backed by more than five decades of iconic entertainment, hospitality and gaming expertise from MGM Resorts International, we’re bringing something no other online casino can genuinely claim.”
The campaign, developed with creative agency RCP and media agency OMD, will run across digital, social and out‑of‑home.
RCP has previously worked on ads for the likes of Coca-Cola, Aubile, SmartWater and budget airline Ryanair. OMD counts Pepsi and McDonald’s as previous partners.
BetMGM has invested heavily in UK marketing since launching in 2023.
Early moves included an above-the-line campaign featuring US comedian Chris Rock and a betting partnership with Tottenham Hotspur, while more recent investments include the sponsorship of the Cup Handicap Hurdle (formerly the Coral Cup) at the 2026 Cheltenham Festival.
