BetBlocker has launched a Serbian version of its app with help from Gamblers Connect, making it easier for Serbian speakers to get support for safer gambling.
Understanding the need for easy use of gambling management tools, BetBlocker has rapidly expanded its targeted language provision program in the past year. This move is a part of BetBlocker’s mission to make responsible gambling tools more accessible by providing support in players’ native languages.
The Serbian version of the app is another step in fulfilling this mission. Serbia, with over 7 million native speakers and a further 3 million speakers worldwide, can now access gambling support services in their own language.
In Serbia, gambling participation is high, and studies have indicated that around 0.5% of adults exhibit problem gambling behaviours, particularly within the sports betting sector. The availability of BetBlocker in Serbian offers an important new support resource in a country where options for gambling harm prevention remain limited.
Gamblers Connect supported BetBlocker’s mission and offered translation services to make the Serbian version of the app happen.
Speaking for Gamblers Connect, Gjorgje Ristikj, the Founder, shared:
“I’m glad to see our collaboration with BetBlocker continuing in such a positive and impactful way. Launching the Serbian version is a meaningful step forward, and we’re proud to support responsible gambling initiatives that truly make a difference.”
Duncan Garvie, Founder and Trustee of BetBlocker, commented:
“For me, this project is a win for everyone!
Obviously, it’s great news for Serbian gamblers that BetBlocker is now available in their language. Serbia doesn’t currently have the range of support options for people looking to stop or manage their gambling, so this is a substantial step forward in terms of harm minimisation.”
Gamblers Connect’s support in bringing BetBlocker’s service to Serbian users shows a strong commitment to responsible gambling. Affiliates haven’t played a big role in safer gambling efforts before, even though they’re skilled at reaching players. This project sets a great example of how affiliates and charities can work together to help those who need support, and it could lead to more partnerships like this in the future.
