After rumors first swirled in August, bet365 is finally delivering, and the company has officially confirmed the launch of its dedicated sportsbook in Washington, D.C. In this 19th jurisdiction, the operator is now up and running across the United States.

The move comes amid a difficult time for the company, with bet365 announcing more than 340 job cuts while doubling down on expansion in the North American market. Previously, bet365 launched in West Virginia in September and is potentially looking to expand further as the NFL season gets underway
The Tuesday sportsbook launch was carried out as part of a multi-year partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment, allowing the company to leverage its brand and logos with the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, and Washington Mystics.
The partnership also allows the bet365 brand to integrate with Monumental Sports Network and team broadcasts. The company already maintains a presence with various franchises across multiple sports leagues and associations, including the NHL, the NBA, and the WNBA.
In an official comment on the release, bet365 head of development, Trip Stoddard, said:
“Bringing bet365 to our nation’s capital expands our reach in the U.S. and establishes our presence in one of the country’s most dynamic sports markets.”
The launch comes just in time for the NFL season, which kicks off today, Wednesday, September 9, with a rematch between the Super Bowl contenders, the Seattle Seahawks vs the New England Patriots.
Bet365 is offering more than 100 sports, as well as a “Bet $10 and Get $50 in Bonus Bets,” along with its customary Early Payout Offer, which allows gamblers to cash out their winning bets earlier and has become a signature move by the sportsbook.
In April, Bet365 also entered Michigan, continuing its push in the North American region.
