Bet365 has appointed Paolo Diego Spadaro as its new country manager for Italy and Spain.
Since July 2024, Spadaro had served as CRM country lead for the same region at the privately owned operator.
Previously he worked at Betclic for four years, two of which were spent as a sports campaign executive, and the other two as a CRM campaign manager.
Spadaro said in a LinkedIn post: “I’m happy to share that I’ve started a new professional chapter as country manager for Italy and Spain at bet365.
“This is an important responsibility that I take on with great enthusiasm. Working across such dynamic markets represents an exciting challenge and a great opportunity to continue building, growing and creating value together with my new team.
“A big thank you to the people who have contributed to my journey so far, and to those who have trusted me with this new role.
“I’m looking forward to this new phase, developing new opportunities and further strengthening our presence in these markets.”
As per EGM data, bet365 received six million hits in Italy in February and a similar amount in Spain.
The operator sits among the top five operator groups by traffic in Italy, while it leads the market in Spain.
Daniele Frisina, a senior country manager at Bet365 based in southern Europe, remains in his role, as per LinkedIn.
Bet365 launched its “Sub On Play On” promotion in Italy in October, allowing players to make prop bets and see the wager roll over in the event of an athlete’s substitution.
The operator has made significant US-focused marketing moves in recent weeks, including an ad campaign and UFC sponsorship.
