The opening of Bally’s Marquette

Two-level gaming floor features 400 slots, electronic table games, along with live blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold ’Em and a sportsbook

Bally’s Corp. and community leaders celebrated a historic milestone Friday evening when Bally’s Marquette officially opened its new $26.2m land-based gaming and entertainment destination. The event marked the property’s transition from its longtime riverboat home on the Mississippi River to a 31,280-square-foot permanent, modern facility on land at 100 Anti Monopoly Street.

Vice President and General Manager Robin Corbeil officially cut the ribbon alongside local leaders including Brittany Hemmer, mayor of Marquette, and Elizabeth Breitbach, president of the Upper Mississippi Gaming Corporation board of directors. Corbeil, one of the property’s original team members from when the casino first opened as Miss Marquette, was joined by several fellow 31-year team members who helped commemorate the milestone moment before a crowd of community members, guests and team members.

Guests, community leaders and team members gathered throughout the evening to commemorate more than three decades of gaming history in the region while celebrating the property’s next chapter. The festivities began with a VIP reception and live entertainment before culminating in a ceremonial ribbon cutting and spectacular fireworks display over the river, produced by Iowa-based, family-owned pyrotechnics company Flashing Thunder.

The full-service land-based destination introduces a modern, two-level gaming floor featuring more than 400 slot machines and electronic table games, along with live blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold ’Em and a sportsbook featuring betting windows and kiosks. Guests are welcomed by a new porte-cochère and direct access from the adjacent parking lot, creating a seamless arrival experience.

The new facility also debuts four dining and beverage venues designed to complement the gaming experience. 1994 Sports Bar offers a lively sports-focused atmosphere with multiple televisions showing live games. Sidecar Bar features hand-crafted cocktails and bar-top gaming in a lounge-style setting, while Benchfront Coffee serves specialty coffee drinks, breakfast items and light fare throughout the day. Riverside Grill rounds out the lineup with fast-casual American favorites including burgers, sandwiches, flatbreads and weekend comfort-food specials.

With enhanced amenities, expanded dining options and panoramic bluff views, Bally’s Marquette ushers in a new chapter – blending more than 30 years of Mississippi River gaming history with the modern conveniences and entertainment offerings.
