Bally’s completes rebranding of Baton Rouge Casino ahead of December relaunch

New land-based gaming floor will offer 200 slots

The Belle of Baton Rouge has now officially completed its rebrand to Bally’s Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel after a $141m renovation by its new owners Bally’s Corp., before its relaunch in December.

Located in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge in Louisianna, the Belle of Baton Rouge entertainment complex will feature 25,000 square feet of gaming floor, including Vegas-style slots and table games, a large sportsbook with a 46-foot big screen and 14 betting kiosks, as well as refreshed entertainment amenities. The property will open pending final approval from the Louisiana Gaming Control board.

Richard Cannon, General Manager of the Belle of Baton Rouge, said: “It’s exciting to imagine our city seeing Bally’s distinctive red light up downtown. We’re proud to be a part of Baton Rouge and eagerly anticipate opening our doors to the community later this year. Bally’s brand is respected worldwide, and it’s thrilling to have a name that’s synonymous with contemporary entertainment join the Baton Rouge community.”

The project involved relocating the casino from the Mississippi River to land, followed by a complete interior and exterior renovation. it also included the ground-up construction of a 5-story, 500-space parking garage.

During construction and the lead-up to opening, guests can still enjoy the Belle’s temporary land-based casino with 9,775 sq. ft. of gaming space, including over 220 slot machines and 3 table games.

The new gaming and entertainment complex is housed under a historic atrium with a 10-storey hotel offering 242 completely renovated rooms and suites. The Embers Casino and Bar will offer a designated smoking area with some electronic games and table games, 200 slots and a fully stocked bar.

The property’s Dining Depot, a nod to its train station roots, will offer new restaurant concepts such as Hearth Pizzeria, Shuck’s Oyster Bar, curated wine bar Vintage 1806, Maritime Coffee, and The Terrace, an open-air dining area overlooking the casino floor.

In February of this year, The Louisiana Gaming Board approved the partnership between Bally’s Corporation and The Queen Casino & Entertainment with the merger seeing the Bally’s Shreveport Casino & Hotel, The Queen Baton Rouge, and the Belle of Baton coming under joint ownership.
