The state-owned casino Bad Füssing is celebrating 25 years of operation in Bavaria.

As one of nine casinos in Bavaria, the Bad Füssing casino stands for safe and reputable gaming on state-of-the-art machines and gaming tables. It is managed by the State Lottery and Casino Administration based in Munich, which belongs to the portfolio of the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and Community.

Albert Füracker, Germany’s Minister of Finance and Home Affairs, said: “25 years of the state-owned casino Bad Füssing, an important regional institution celebrates its anniversary. The Bad Füssing casino, with its current 80 employees, is a symbol of responsible and serious gambling. In addition, it acts as an important engine for the Lower Bavarian region and promotes tourism in the spa and recreation resort. More than two million visitors have been welcomed to the casino since it opened in 1999 – an absolutely impressive number that speaks for itself. Congratulations on the anniversary and here’s to many more successful years.”

State Secretary for Finance and Home Affairs Martin Schöffel, added: “On September 10, 1999, the Casino Bad Füssing was ceremoniously opened – today we look back together on 25 years of casino history! Spielbank Bad Füssing has faced many challenges in the past and mastered them with flying colours – after the Corona pandemic, it is again recording a very positive development. The guests are back and the gross gaming revenue has increased significantly again in recent years, most recently it was a record-breaking 9.6 million euros. My heartfelt congratulations on the 25th anniversary and on a continued positive development.”

Joachim Buchwieser, Vice President of the State Lottery and Casino Administration, added: “A quarter of a century of Spielbank Bad Füssing! In these 25 years, we have not only overcome numerous challenges, but also proven that responsible gambling and social responsibility can go hand in hand. Our institution has established itself as an indispensable part of Lower Bavaria’s cultural landscape. I would like to thank all former and current employees who have made the casino what it is today with their commitment and passion. Let us toast to the achievements of the past and look to the future with confidence.”
