AK Bets founder Anthony Kaminskas has announced the launch of sportsbook supplier and odds pricing platform, FUMIN DATA.

The business will operate as a joint venture (JV) between Kaminskas and the team behind consultancy firm Barbitrage Limited.

Barbitrage Limited, headquartered in Devon, England, has been listed with Companies House since October 2015.

The company, led by Thomas Brownlee, is backed by experts in industries including mathematics, sports and IT.

Since launch, the firm has “discreetly developed precision-driven tools for fair odds and sports probabilities, emphasising innovation rooted in rigorous accountability”.

Speaking to EGR, Kaminskas revealed the JV is in a “unique position” to exploit frustrations felt by operators.

He said: “The intention of FUMIN DATA is to combine our skillsets to revolutionise odds data feeds with innovative ideas and technology.

“I have been in the industry since the age of 18 in various roles while the team behind Barbitrage Limited have been building proven models related to sports odds for over a decade.

“As a business we are in the unique position of being able to see ‘behind the curtain’ with regards to the frustrations of sportsbooks around pricing accuracy, distribution of margin and a changing cost base and then adapt our products accordingly.

“On the frontend we intend to build products with more flexibility and choice for both operator and consumer with dynamic pricing across a superior range sports and sub markets.”

Kaminskas, the former head of greyhound trading at Paddy Power, founded AK Bets in 2021 as an on-course bookmaker, with the operator going on to launch an online platform and app in 2023.

The firm’s core offerings include football, horseracing and greyhound racing markets.

Kaminskas added that the impending tax increases in the UK market have presented an opportunity to provide a better service to consumers and operators.

“The intention is to put reliability, accountability and innovation at the forefront of what we do,” he said.  “We see upcoming tax changes in the UK as an opportunity to bring enhancements for both consumers and operators.”

As announced in the Autumn Budget, remote gaming duty in the UK is set to increase from 21% to 40% in April 2026.

Remote betting duty, excluding horseracing, will also increase from 15% to 25% 12 months later.

Kaminskas also revealed which sport the company would look to branch out into first. “The first cab off the rank will likely be product in relation to greyhound racing before we move onto other sports,” he said.
