Stoiximan has appointed experience industry exec Antonis Polychronis as its new head of marketing & communications, replacing Giorgos Bozas.
The OPAP-owned operator, which unveiled a new visual identity at the end of last year, said Polychronis would lead on the “design and implementation” of the company’s marketing strategy.
Polychronis graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Masters in marketing, advertising and public relations before spending 15 years at mobile phone giant Vodafone, leaving in 2015.
His first move into the betting industry was his appointment at lottery operator OPAP, where he joined as brand and communications manager.
After subsequent stints at electronic goods vendor GERMANOS and advertising agency Ogilvy Greece, he returned to the sector in 2021, becoming marketing manager for Greece and Cyprus at Kaizen Gaming, before taking on his new role at Stoiximan.
Polychronis said in a LinkedIn post announcing the move: “Grateful to be starting a new chapter as Head of Marketing at Stoiximan.
“Thankful for the trust and the people behind it. Excited to help build an even stronger brand, create meaningful connections, and do work we can all be proud of.”
Stoiximan opened a new HQ last summer after its total sale to OPAP completed.
OPAP has since merged with Allwyn to create a combined lottery and gaming giant worth €16bn.
