Super chief product officer (CPO) Andrei Dușu has announced he is leaving his role after 18 months in the position.
Dușu has been with the parent of Central and Eastern European operator Superbet since 2023, having joined as vice-president of product and data.
He moved to the operator after four-year stint at Google.
Dușu has spent nearly 10 years in tech industry leadership positions since joining OLX Group as head of monetisation in June 2016. He was made head of product in June 2017.
Announcing his departure, Dușu said: “It has been a period of intense growth and transformation, and I’m incredibly proud of the ‘engine’ we’ve built together.
“Reflecting on this journey, a few key milestones stand out: Market expansion and platform maturity; we successfully launched into new markets while simultaneously consolidating our platform into a resilient, scalable foundation.
“The p&t [product and tech] operating model: we matured our internal systems to operate as a high-agency product and tech organisation, shifting how we build and deliver value.
“Talent density: we’ve brought in world-class talent, building a team capable of solving the industry’s most complex challenges and continuing to build Super into a global tech powerhouse.”
Dușu added that he was leaving the company with “a heavy heart”, though he updated his profile to show he has joined media tech company Backlight as chief technology and technical officer.
In October, Superbet announced a reshuffle of its C-suite team, axing the co-CEO setup and installing Sacha Dragic as sole CEO, effective 1 January 2026.
Then, in November, EGR exclusively revealed the Bucharest-based business was to rebrand to Super to gear up for its “next phase of global growth”.
Super and its Superbet brand broke into the top 10 of the EGR Power 50’s 2025 edition.
