Entain has added former Kraft Heinz Company exec Dafne Guisard to the company’s C-suite in a newly created COO role.
In what will be her first role in the gambling sector, Guisard will officially join the FTSE 100 business on 13 January 2025.
She will be responsible for driving “operational excellence, leading global strategic planning, the customer service organisation and M&A integration”, Entain confirmed.
Guisard will join the Ladbrokes Coral parent firm after spending three years with the Kraft Heinz Company.
Based out of Chicago, Guisard served as Kraft Heinz’s chief strategy, transformation and digital officer since January 2022.
During that time, she oversaw a global 10-year growth strategy while also developing new operational models.
Prior to that, Guisard spent nine years at Anheuser-Busch InBev across multiple leadership positions having initially joined as a global manager for marketing in 2013.
She was then named global director for strategy and finance the following year before being appointed group vice-president for imported and regional brands in 2016.
Her final role with the Budweiser parent company started in 2018 when she shifted to become group senior vice-president of strategy, insights and commercial operations.
Guisard becomes the first addition to the Entain C-suite under the new leadership of CEO Gavin Isaacs.
Isaacs took up the reins at the start of September after being chosen to replace former permanent CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen over the summer.
Stella David, who now serves as Entain’s chair, had taken on the chief executive role in an interim capacity following Nygaard-Andersen’s exit in December 2023.
Guisard will join Isaacs’ existing C-suite that comprises stalwart CFO Rob Wood, chief commercial officer Sameer Deen and chief product and technology officer Satty Bhens.
Speaking on Guisard’s appointment, Isaacs said: “Dafne brings a wealth of experience in driving strategic growth and delivering transformation on a global scale.
“Her appointment will help place Entain at the leading edge of innovation, as well as strengthen the executive management team as we build on a period of stronger-than-expected revenue growth and key market expansion. Dafne will be a tremendous asset to Entain.”
