Nicole Garrett: Bingo Association

A seasoned gambling and public affairs expert, Garrett joins the Bingo Association from Allwyn International, where she served as Group Head of Responsible Gaming, overseeing safer-play strategy and cross-market initiatives for the operator’s global lottery and entertainment portfolio.

Garrett’s appointment forms part of a joint succession plan agreed by the Bingo Association (BA), the National Bingo Game Association (NBGA) and Meeron Limited, with her taking up the position in Spring 2026.

Before joining Allwyn, Garrett held senior roles across the UK’s regulated betting and gaming industry, including Head of Corporate Affairs at bet365 and Head of Policy at the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC). She brings extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, regulatory reform and responsible gambling policy.

The board of the Bingo Association, NBGA and Meeron praised Garrett’s credentials, stating: “Nicole brings an exceptional breadth of experience from across the wider gaming sector, with a strong track record in policy development, regulatory engagement, and responsible gaming. We are confident she will provide outstanding leadership as the bingo industry navigates an evolving regulatory and commercial landscape.”

Garrett’s appointment is expected to mark the start of a new chapter for the UK bingo sector, which continues to adapt to shifting consumer habits, digital innovation, and ongoing reviews of gambling regulation and social responsibility frameworks.

Accepting her new role, Garrett commented: “I am thrilled to be joining the Bingo Association, the National Bingo Game Association and Meeron at such an important time for the bingo industry. Bingo plays a unique and valued role within local communities, and I look forward to working closely with members and stakeholders to support the sector and help shape its future.”

Yesterday, debates in the House of Commons saw ministers call for greater intervention in the licensing of local gambling establishments, including bingo halls, arguing that such venues should no longer be exempt from tighter local licensing rules.

Ongoing debates adds further weight to the regulatory challenges awaiting Garrett as she prepares to lead the sector through its generational change in consumers and political scrutiny.
