Superbet has joined the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) to bolster the trade body’s growing membership, EGR can exclusively reveal.
The Romanian operator, which operates in its home country as well as Poland and Belgium, will become a member with immediate effect.
Superbet will join the likes of bet365, Flutter Entertainment, Entain, evoke and Betsson as a member of the Brussels-based group.
The operator noted that in joining the EGBA, it would begin to contribute to the body’s existing efforts, including responsible advertising and safer gambling.
The Bucharest-headquartered firm has partnered with the group ahead of expected proposed legislation from the European Commission on digital sectors across the EU.
The EGBA’s members serve around 32.5 million customers in 22 European countries, with associated operators representing roughly one-third of Europe’s online GGR.

In other Superbet news, the business welcomed back its founder Sacha Dragic as co-CEO last month in a significant shake-up of the operator’s C-suite.
Dragic will head up the company alongside co-CEO Jimmy Maymann.
During the reshuffle, Simsensohn was named as COO, while Andrei Dusu stepped up to become chief product officer and Sameen Jalal was appointed as chief technology officer.
