Superbet has rebranded to Super Technologies, as the Bucharest-headquartered business prepares for its “next phase of global growth”, EGR can exclusively reveal.
The operator’s new identity, which will be shortened to ‘Super’, comes as it prepares to further lean into its tech and product prowess.
The company will continue to run its B2C operations across the globe, including its leading position in Romania.
Super is also live in Brazil, Poland and Serbia. The firm also has a presence in Belgium after it snapped up Napoleon Sports & Casino in 2021.
The B2C brand will retain the Superbet name, with bosses noting that further international expansion remains on the cards.
Management noted the change in corporate identity comes after the business had evolved into a “diversified organisation active in the technology and product space”.
In fact, Super has opened two new tech hubs in Madrid and Amsterdam this year, with the operator’s B2C arm being powered by in-house tech.
Products such as SuperCoins, SuperSocial and SuperSub have all been rolled out in the past 24 months, too.
Super said: “With this rebrand and group repositioning, Super is setting the stage for its next phase of global growth, by uniting its proven track record in sports betting and gaming with a bold vision for the future of technology-driven entertainment.”
As part of the shift, Super has unveiled a new corporate website.
The rebranding comes as the company’s founder and co-CEO Sacha Dragic prepares to become sole CEO in January.
Dragic returned as co-CEO alongside Jimmy Maymann last year.
Super also secured a €1.3bn refinancing agreement with Blackstone earlier this year to support its future growth plans.
Dragic said: “As we continue to grow and expand into new areas, our brand reflects both our heritage and our ambition.
“The playstack developed by Super will be much more than a tech foundation, it will constitute our growth engine. It will power faster brand launches, stronger partner ecosystems and deeper, more meaningful fan connections.
“With this core strategy, we will build a globally leading play-technology platform that will power the new generation of immersive entertainment ecosystems.”
Hans-Holger Albrecht, Super chair, added: “Super represents the natural step from a leading global sports betting and gaming operator to a company that is building the technology platform that will champion the future of play.
“This rebrand signals our determination to shape the future of fan-centric entertainment, creating lasting value for our customers, partners and communities.”
Super moved up to ninth in the EGR Power 50 last month, marking the first time the company had broken into the top 10.
