Landmark will be the last of 11 satellite casinos to close
SJM Resorts has confirmed that its satellite Casino Landmark will officially cease operations on December 30 2025.
The casino is one of the oldest hotels on the Amizade Strip and is located directly opposite Starworld. Its casino opened in 2003 and offers 9,000 square feet of gaming space, offering 383 slots and 123 table and poker games.
With nine of the 11 satellite casinos open at the turn of the year now closed, and with SJM buying L’Arc, Landmark will be the last satellite casino to close in Macau.
SJM said: “All gaming tables and gaming machines currently operating at the location will be redeployed to other self-promoted casinos of the company to continue serving our valued customers. The company will ensure that all customer entitlements are duly honoured. SJM Resorts places strong emphasis on safeguarding local employment, and will ensure the continued employment of employees of Casino Landmark.
“All local employees employed by SJM Resorts will remain employed and be reassigned to other casinos of the company to undertake gaming-related roles according to operational needs. Local employees who are not employed by SJM Resorts will be invited to apply for related vacancies within the Group with priority in hiring under equal circumstances, and will be provided with the necessary support, depending on the actual situation, to facilitate a smooth transition. SJM Resorts will carry out all necessary arrangements in accordance with legal requirements to ensure an orderly transition. As always, the Company remains committed to fulfilling its corporate responsibilities and contributing to the stable development of Macau’s gaming sector in partnership with the local community.”
