EGR has today issued a formal correction regarding the ‘Virtual Sports Supplier’ category at this year’s EGR Italy Awards.
Due to an oversight, an incorrect winner was initially announced. The correct winner was Highlight Games.
The judges said: “Highlight is one of the most successful operators in virtual betting. It holds the exclusive rights to access archive footage from several of the world’s biggest sporting leagues.
“From an economic point of view, Highlight has a strong presence in the Italian market, both retail and online, and has shown impressive growth over the past year.”
The EGR Italy Awards are independently adjudicated with all submissions reviewed by a panel of impartial, external judges who independently assess shortlisted entries. Each judge is required to sign a non-disclosure agreement before participating, ensuring confidentiality and fairness at every stage.
Once judging concludes, scores are verified to confirm both winners and highly commended entries.
EGR does not participate in the scoring, judging, or selection of winners.
