Pennsylvania posts record online casino revenue for October

Revenue from online casinos in Pennsylvania reached an all-time high of $251.1 million during October 2025, with sports betting revenue hitting 121.7% year-on-year. The gross gambling revenue from all commercial gaming reached $597 million in October 2025, which was a 20.2% increase from October 2024, as well as an 11.4% increase from September 2025. Revenue 

Revenue from online casinos in Pennsylvania reached an all-time high of $251.1 million during October 2025, with sports betting revenue hitting 121.7% year-on-year.

The gross gambling revenue from all commercial gaming reached $597 million in October 2025, which was a 20.2% increase from October 2024, as well as an 11.4% increase from September 2025.

Revenue from online casinos was 32.8% higher year-on-year and exceeded the last record of $238.2 million in March 2025 by 5.4%. Here online slots comprised $190.8 million, internet table games generated $57.7 million, and online poker revenue was $2.5 million.

The leading actors were the Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course and its partners, with a monthly revenue of $98.7 million, a 42.2% increase from 2024. Second came Valley Forge Casino Resort at $71.4 million, and the top three closed with Rivers Casino Philadelphia at $38.2 million.

Turning to sports betting, revenue reached $60.7 million in October 2025, with $56.2 million from online betting and $4.5 million from retail sportsbooks. Player spending also reached a record high of $968.5 million, beating the November 2024 record of $935.5 million.

Among operators, DraftKings and Hollywood Casino at the Meadows were at the top, posting $21.8 million off a $300.1 million handle, leading to a 7.26% hold. FanDuel and Valley Forge Casino Resort were second with $18.2 million in revenue, while BetMGM and Hollywood Casino Morgantown came third with $4 million off a $59.6 million handle.

Land-based slots also have an important input in gambling revenue, with a $203.5 million revenue in October. However, video gaming terminals dropped 1% to $3.5 million, and sports fantasy contests dropped 1.1% to $2.1 million.

During October 2025, $252.3 million was collected in tax, with $112.7 million from online casinos, $21.8 million from sports betting, $102.8 million from land-based slots, and $12.8 million from retail table games.
