The MGM Grand Las Vegas hotel-casino has completed a $300m renovation of 3,969 rooms and suites in its main tower. The project began in December and finished slightly ahead of schedule, according to MGM Resorts International.

Mike Neubecker, President and COO of MGM Grand, said the upgrades were based on guest feedback. “MGM Grand has long stood out as one of the most iconic resorts on The Strip, and this remodel marks an ambitious step forward in the resort’s evolution,” he said.

The renovation created 111 additional suites by converting about 350 standard rooms on three upper floors into larger accommodation. The resort now has 753 suites ranging from 675 to 1,784sq.ft.

MGM executives previously told investors that the project was completed during the company’s October earnings call. Bill Hornbuckle, president and CEO of MGM Resorts, described the renovated rooms as “spectacular,” noting they could help drive visitation and room rates.

MGM Grand, opened in 1993, has undergone several updates over the years, including a 2022 refurbishment of the Studio Tower. The company plans to begin room renovations at Aria in late 2026, followed by The Cosmopolitan.
