A commercial agreement model has been officially established, enabling the racetracks in the Province of Buenos Aires to export their race signals and accept bets from abroad. Each provincial racetrack will have the opportunity to enter into specific agreements to implement this approach and tap into new markets.
Gonzalo Atanasof, the president of the Provincial Institute of Lottery and Casinos, signed the resolution that enables the contract model for commingling.
“This launch is the result of sustained work by the Government of the Province, including Axel Kicillof (Buenos Aires Governor) . . . along with the entire technical team of the Lottery Institute, to strengthen an activity that is tradition, culture, and employment,” Atanasof said.
“Since we arrived at this Institute, various stakeholders in horse racing have expressed this demand, and today we are providing an effective solution, opening new opportunities for all those involved in the industry.”
With this measure, the Institute has developed and approved a standard commercial agreement model that will allow the racetracks of Buenos Aires to formalize the transfer of signals abroad and receive bets under this new modality.
According to a lottery press release: “The implementation of this tool represents a historic advancement for the provincial horse racing industry, as it will expand the base of bettors, increase the competitiveness of Buenos Aires turf, and strengthen the sustainability of the entire production chain . . . With this resolution, the Province consolidates a policy of technological modernization and international openness in the horse racing system, reaffirming its commitment to the development of an industry that combines tradition, innovation, and employment in Buenos Aires.”
