The tax revenue from casinos has also increased, reaching the amount of $69.6 million which is $1 million or 1.5% more than the figure for October last year. The total revenue from Maryland’s casinos in October has raised the total amount of the state so far this fiscal year to $649.5 million.
Even though there have been increases in October, this still means a decline of 2.1% compared to the same last year, and tax revenue for the fiscal year fell by 1.4%.
Analyzing separate properties, Horseshoe Casino was the front-runner in the growth march of October, bringing in $15.5 million, which is an increase of 12.7% compared to last year. Hollywood Casino, on the other hand, suffered the largest fall, with a decrease in revenue of up to 10.5%, settling at $6.4 million.
