Kaizen Gaming was named operator of the year at last night’s EGR Operator Awards 2025, as the Betano parent company retained the headline trophy for the second consecutive year.
The win means the firm successfully defended its 2024 crown, fending off challenges from LeoVegas Group (silver) and tombola (bronze) in the process.
Alongside securing the top title, Kaizen Gaming took home five other awards, including casino operator of the year and sports betting operator of the year, at the 20th edition of the EGR Operator Awards.
The privately owned business also snapped up the in-play sports operator of the year, sports product of the year and football betting operator of the year trophies.
Betsson Group, Hard Rock Bet, PlayOJO and Gambling.com Group all secured two wins each on the night each.
Stockholm-listed Betsson won in-house product of the year and ESG strategy of the year, while PlayOJO was recognised as slots operator of the year and casino product of the year.
Hard Rock Bet notched wins in the best AI development and omnichannel operator of the year categories. Gambling.com Group was named sports affiliate of the year and affiliate of the year.
In a new category for this year, BetMGM was announced as North American operator of the year.
The 2025 EGR Operator Awards were held at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London’s Covent Garden and hosted by stand-up comedian Robin Morgan.
