GiG Software has commenced trading on the OTCQX Best Market in the US as part of its efforts to “deepen both its exposure and presence” in the market.
GiG already trades on the Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market in Stockholm, and has now added its secondary listing in the US.
The supplier will trade under the ticker GIGXF.
OTCQX is run by OTC Markets Group and is viewed as a leading marketplace for over-the-counter stocks.
Existing companies on the OTCQX include American Rare Earths, Jaguar Mining, Air Canada and Marks & Spencer Group.
GiG said the secondary listing would allow the firm to build on its existing shareholder base in Europe and Asia.
The company added: “The purpose of trading shares on the OTCQX is to raise the company’s profile and broaden its exposure to the North American investor markets thereby increasing trading liquidity in a drive to enhance shareholder value.”
GiG’s shares in Sweden are up 4% at the time of writing to SEK5.6 (£0.44).
Richard Carter, GiG CEO, said: “Trading on the OTCQX marks an important milestone in GiG’s evolution, paving the way for access to a large and increasingly diverse US investor base.
“The addition of the OTCQX market will complement our existing market presence and help to broaden our investment exposure, enabling us to expand our reach and deepen our engagement with the US.
“As GiG continues to scale, this step highlights our commitment to delivering shareholder value alongside our strong growth trajectory.
“We are excited to offer US investors the opportunity to participate in our growth story and look forward to the commercial opportunities that trading on the OTCQX will bring.”
In August, GiG said it was pulling back on its sweepstakes strategy to focus on Brazil amid a shift in regulations and scrutiny over the vertical in the US.
