Ezugi COO Gilad Ben-Ami has been named the live casino supplier’s new CEO.
Ben-Ami joined Ezugi in June 2017, overseeing global operations and co-ordinating across its delivery, compliance and project management departments.
He will replace Krif Kugler, who has been in the role since July 2012.
Prior to taking the COO role at Ezugi, Ben-Ami spent two years at EasyCrypt.co between 2016 and 2018 as chief technology officer.
Ben-Ami was Gamesmart’s COO and vice-president of research and development for two years between June 2014 and July 2016, overseeing global operations for the then-social gaming startup.
Announcing his promotion with Ezugi on LinkedIn, he said: “Stepping into the role of CEO at Ezugi feels like being entrusted with something very special.
“Little did I know where the journey would lead when I started eight years ago, helping to build Ezugi’s presence in Romania, with a small team working hard to make an impact.
“Fast forward to today, it has been an amazing journey to be part of, and I would like to thank all my colleagues – past and present – who contributed to our success.
“Ezugi now counts hundreds of employees across regions and continents, and is part of the world’s leading provider of igaming content.
“It is an honour and big responsibility to take this leadership role. I have learned from the very best, and would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to Kfir Kugler – my longtime manager, mentor and friend.
“To our partners and clients, thank you for your trust and collaboration. We will continue to work hard to earn it, to keep innovating, and to remain a trusted partner.”
Evolution acquired Eguzi in November 2018 in a deal worth an initial $12m, with a further $6m in potential add-ons having been baked into the agreement.
