Aristocrat has announced two new arrivals to senior positions within its interactive and corporate affairs and marketing divisions.

The supplier’s online segment has welcomed Dylan Slaney as CEO, succeeding Moti Malul in the role, with Malul set to officially depart the company in March 2026 following the completion of his notice period.

Slaney arrives at Aristocrat Interactive after a seven-year stint with fellow supplier Light & Wonder, having joined in January 2018 as senior vice-president of gaming when the company was still owned by Scientific Games Corporation, then known as SG Digital.

In October 2021, Slaney was promoted to the role of igaming CEO, before the company announced five months later it would rebrand as Light & Wonder.

Slaney’s first foray into the industry came in October 2017, when he was named executive vice-president (EVP) of NYX Gaming Group, a title he held for just over four years.

Additionally, Slaney boasts experience in the global customer data science sector following a near-seven-year tenure with dunnhumby, leaving in 2017 as global innovation, partnerships and product director, after rising up the ranks from UK head of brand.

Ahead of his Aristocrat Interactive reign, which will begin on 3 November 2025, the company shed light on some of the reasons behind Slaney’s appointment.

An Aristocrat statement read: “Mr Slaney has a track record of driving operational excellence and a customer-first approach that delivers transformative growth.”

Meanwhile, Natalie Toohey will step down from her duties as chief corporate affairs officer for Aristocrat, parent company of the interactive segment, after seven years in the role.

She will be replaced by Barry French, who will begin his duties in the expanded role of chief corporate affairs and marketing officer with immediate effect.

French brings a wealth of experience to his post, having most recently served as senior vice-president of external affairs for Comcast’s US west division for seven months.

Prior to that, he was chief marketing and communications officer for British satellite telecommunications company Inmarsat for two-and-a-half years.

A 14-year spell in various roles for Nokia preceded that, arriving in April 2006 as head of communications before working up to the title of chief marketing officer and EVP of marketing and corporate affairs by his departure in December 2020.

Trevor Croker, Aristocrat CEO and managing director, hailed both appointments, saying: “I am delighted to welcome leaders of the calibre of Dylan and Barry to the Aristocrat executive team. Both are values-led leaders with collaborative and customer-centric mindsets.

“Dylan’s deep igaming experience and track record of operational delivery will help us accelerate momentum in Aristocrat Interactive, including building on our market-leading position in ilottery, in line with our strategy.

“I also look forward to Barry further building our reputation and stakeholder relationships, while forging a global marketing function to better steward our brands and unlock more strategic benefits.”
