Playtech delivers H1 2025 results, expects FY ahead of forecast

Playtech has reported results for the six months to 30 June 2025, with revenue of €387.0m, down 10 per cent year-on-year, and adjusted EBITDA of €91.6m, in line with upgraded guidance from August. Profit after tax rose to €1.58bn, reflecting the €1.6bn gain on the disposal of Snaitech, with around €1.8bn distributed to shareholders via a special dividend. The group ended the half year with a net cash position of €77.1m.

B2B revenue declined nine per cent to €347.6m, though excluding revised Caliente Interactive arrangements, underlying growth of three per cent was recorded, driven by expansion in the US and Canada where revenues rose 64 per cent to €21.8m. SaaS revenue grew 73 per cent to €57.3m, while Live Casino revenues increased nine per cent, supported by an expanded partnership with MGM Resorts in Las Vegas.

CEO Mor Weizer said the results reflect “the strong start Playtech is making in its transition back to its roots as a predominantly pure-play B2B business,” adding that the group remains on track to deliver FY 2025 adjusted EBITDA ahead of expectations and is well placed to meet its medium-term growth targets.
