Sportsbook customer spending in Arizona slipped to its lowest monthly total in June since August 2024. However, the state was able to report year-on-year growth across both handle and revenue.

Gross event wagering receipts in June reached $543 million, according to figures from the Arizona Department of Gaming. This surpassed June last year by 19.6% but fell 23.1% from $707.1 million in May this year.

Online betting accounted for $540 million of total handle, with retail’s contribution just $2.6 million.

Arizona players received back $478.8 million from sports betting, leaving $67.3 million in adjusted gross receipts. However, after taking off $16.8 million in free bets and promotional credits, adjusted gross receipts totalled $50.5 million, up 59.8% year-on-year and only 2.5% less than May’s numbers.

Of this total, online betting generated $49.6 million and retail $881,856.

Based on the latter adjusted figure, this resulted in a statewide sports betting hold of 9.29% for the month.
