Rank Group has posted an 11% year-on-year (YoY) increase in underlying net gaming revenue (NGR) to £795.3m in the 12 months ending 30 June.

The omnichannel business published its full-year 2024-25 results this morning, 14 August, which included a 38% leap in underlying operating profit to £63.7m.

Post-tax profit for the Maidenhead-based business skyrocketed 272% to £44.6m, as all of the group’s business segments reported NGR increases.

The operator’s digital arm reported an NGR leap of 10% to £235.7m, with operating profit up 41% to £33.3m.

Grosvenor was the strongest growing digital brand as NGR was up 22% to £83.9m, while NGR for Mecca jumped 11% to £96.8m.

The Spain-facing Enracha and Yo brands were flat at £26.9m, while non-proprietary brands were down 25% to £6m.

Average revenue per customer in digital was up 18%. UK growth was driven by “continued investment in technology”, bosses added.

This included the launch of a new Mecca app, new games, bonus tools and omnichannel expansion.

The operator is expecting to launch its online bingo platform in Portugal in the coming weeks, while a c.£4m hit to operating profit based on new online slots stake limits in the UK was confirmed.

In terms of land-based operations, Grosvenor NGR rose 11% to £378.4m and Mecca NGR spiked 5% to £140.3m.

Enracha venues in Spain returned NGR of £40.9m, a 9% YoY jump.

The company’s share price was down around 4% at the time of writing to 140p.

John O’Reilly, Rank Group CEO, said: “We have had another successful year, delivering revenue growth and profit ahead of our expectations.

“Both online and in our venues the customer reaction to the investments we are making in our businesses has been excellent.

“We are growing profitability and have a strong net cash position which will enable both continued investment and progressive dividend returns for our shareholders.

“I would like to recognise the exceptional work of my colleagues across the Rank Group whose unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding customer service continues to be the cornerstone of our financial performance.”
