The Oneida Indian Nation the first phase of Point Place Casino’s $50m expansion on August 1 with a weekend-long celebration showcasing new slots, updated amenities and even more of everything they love about one of the area’s top entertainment destinations.
During the celebration, guests can experience 400 new slot machines in a space that’s double the size of the casino’s former gaming floor. The newly expanded area offers guests a more spacious, comfortable environment to enjoy their favorite titles and discover new games with plenty of room for even more, with 100 additional slot machines on the way soon.
The first phase of the expansion also includes a stunning reimagining of the Fireside Lounge, where guests can now enjoy a 360-degree view of the gorgeous wood-burning fireplace and cozy new seating for 60 inside the lounge, plus seating for 70 at the bar. A new mixologist will be on hand, pouring creative craft cocktails along with the Fireside Lounge’s selection of beers, wines and classic libations.
Point Place Casino’s Perfect Pour Cafe has also been fully remodeled and expanded, and will continue offering its popular menu of sandwiches, sweet treats, boozy coffee and cocoa and more, while a new, conveniently located Guest Services desk will make it easier than ever for visitors to find assistance during their visit.
“We’re thrilled to share the first phase of our expansion with guests, especially because so many of these updates and new amenities were driven by their feedback,” said Jerry Marrello, Turning Stone Enterprises Vice President for Regional Casinos. “Our guests and our team members have made Point Place Casino a really special place to visit, and all of this growth won’t change that. Instead, it’s creating more ways to enjoy time with us. These updates are only the first step, and there’s even more to be excited about in the months ahead.”
Point Place Casino’s expansion will continue throughout the end of the year, with a new retail store from the owner of The Commons at Turning Stone, Joe Shapiro, opening in Fall 2025 and the remainder of the casino’s new amenities arriving by the end of the year.
In addition to answering rising demand from guests, the Point Place Casino expansion continues the Oneida Indian Nation’s commitment to economic development throughout its ancestral homelands and reinvestment in its enterprises and the region. This $50m expansion is the latest in a series of investments by the Nation at Point Place Casino since its opening and part of the broader growth and diversification currently underway across the Nation’s enterprises, including the $370m Turning Stone Evolution, new Verona Collective dispensaries and more.
Together, all of these efforts expand the Oneida Indian Nation’s role as an engine for economic development and job creation across local communities, supporting new local vendors and other partners, providing career opportunities in Madison County and building sustainable prosperity for generations to come.
