Operators that leapt up several places on the oddschecker grid last month saw horseracing clickshare increase in June, according to the affiliate’s latest data.

The commercial reshuffle involved William Hill jumping into second spot, while Unibet moved into third and Betfred went from 11th to fourth.

Entain’s Ladbrokes edged up from eighth to seventh and Spreadex took sixth place during the shakeup, which came about due to refreshed commercial terms with operators and the FairPlay Sports Media affiliate.

At the time same, Flutter Entertainment’s Sky Bet and Paddy Power fell from podium positions towards the bottom of the matrix, in what oddschecker called the “biggest reshuffle in recent memory”.

Flutter’s other bookmaker, Betfair Sportsbook, exited the grid altogether, leaving just the Betfair Exchange.

“This strategic boost means better odds, places and promo visibility, more acquisition headroom and increased brand equity – all of which are already translating into higher levels of betting activity,” oddschecker added.

Looking at Ladbrokes, its horseracing clickshare rose from around 5.5% to more than 6%, with Unibet, Betfred and Spreadex also securing gains.

In comparison, Paddy Power, which now sits in 23rd place, saw its horseracing clickshare decline by more than one percentage point in June versus May.

Sky Bet’s clickshare was down from around 6% to below 4% after it moved to 22nd spot.

Unibet, Betfred, Ladbrokes and Spreadex also reported a combined 3.1 percentage point clickshare gain in football markets.

New faces

Away from clickshare, oddschecker revealed BresBet has joined the grid, debuting in 20th place. It means there are 24 bookmakers and two exchanges now present.

BresBet has been live in the UK since 2021, initially launching via Playbook Gaming’s licence.

The firm was granted its own bingo, casino and sports betting licences from the Gambling Commission in February.

Elsewhere, Ladbrokes and Coral have been added to oddschecker’s bet builder comparison tool, which now features eight operators.

Oddschecker also revealed that talkSPORT Bet, which isn’t on the grid, had the largest improvement in customer acquisition versus May, with the BVGroup-powered site up 167%.

Super Group-owned Betway reported a 0.5 percentage point increase in betshare, while Midnite had the best performing registration to first-time deposit conversion of 92% versus an average of 71%.

William Hill had the best performing offer in June with its ‘Bet £10 get £40 in Free Bets’ promo. Sky Bet was second thanks to its ‘Bet 5p get £30 in Free Bets’ offer.

Finally, oddschecker reported 1.5 million unique site users across the UK and Ireland in June.
