So why London? Well, the central theme of our proposition is ‘The home of the igaming community moves to the heart of the igaming industry’. London is the birthplace of, and remains the home of, igaming.
More than 50 of the most influential companies in igaming base themselves in London and, with 37,000+ igaming professionals calling London home, it remains an industry destination for business, networking, socialising and a place where the industry meets to shape the future. With more investors and decision makers being based in London, iGB L!VE will also attract more of the people most critical to the future development of the industry.
ExCeL – offering the space to grow
Our job as custodians of the iGB L!VE brand is to plan for the future and create a sustainable tier-one igaming event which consistently meets the needs of the global businesses that it serves. With an industry that’s growing faster every year, we need to scale ahead of the market. Our new ExCeL London home has a fantastic track record of helping events fulfil their potential, and we are confident the venue can do for iGB L!VE what it achieved for ICE. We have ambitious plans for iGB L!VE and relocating to London will help us achieve them.
London igaming Week
To celebrate our move, we’ve created London igaming Week, a programme of immersive events, seminars and parties centred around iGB L!VE and taking place at iconic London venues. An amazing opportunity for the global igaming industry to come together for a week of connection, innovation and celebration, it features social events such as the iGB Affiliate Awards, the EGR B2B Awards, welcome drinks in Canary Wharf, the LEGENDS by Fire & ICE celebration and will culminate in the LMG Futbol Experience – a live-streamed six-a-side football tournament.
London igaming Week also includes unique opportunities to network and learn at the iGB Startup Accelerator summit, the affiliate and operator mixer and the Technology in Gaming event, as well as the first conference for senior technology professionals (sponsored by Pretty Technical) taking place on Tuesday 1 July.
The at-show London Waterfront Experience
Taking advantage of July temperatures, we have created the London Waterfront Experience – a place to connect in a vibrant and unique setting. We are taking over the brand-new Waterfront Kitchen and Bar along the recently finished Dock Edge development, featuring activations including a moored barge at the edge of the dock. The area is available as a beautiful networking space and will offer a unique London take on the iGB L!VE experience.
Linking up with the Hippodrome Casino
As the official casino partner of iGB L!VE, the Hippodrome Casino is offering all iGB L!VE attendees a free welcome drink and a 25% discount at its Heliot Steak House and Chop Chop restaurants (delegates will need to present their show pass to secure their discount). For those who haven’t visited the Hippodrome, it’s situated in the heart of the West End and features seven floors of entertainment and gaming, with three uniquely themed casino floors.
It also boasts London’s largest dedicated poker deck, nine bars, two award winning restaurants and a ‘hidden’ cocktail bar called Archive & Myth. It’s a fantastic environment for delegates to soak up everything that London has to offer after a fantastic day on the iGB L!VE show floor.
