CopyBet has become the latest operator to join the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC).
The firm joins the industry standards body as it looks to “strengthen its commitment to safer gambling”.
Other notable BGC members include the likes of Flutter Entertainment, Entain, evoke and Bally’s, as well as their associated brands.
Bet365, Betway, Betfred and LeoVegas are also members of the trade body which represents 90% of the UK’s regulated betting and gaming industry.
CopyBet first launched in the UK back in 2016 after securing a licence from the Gambling Commission.
The platform allows customers to duplicate the bets of tipsters alongside a traditional sportsbook.
The operator serves as the front-of-shirt sponsor for Championship side Queens Park Rangers, signing a two-year deal with the West London outfit back in April 2024.
CopyBet also joined the International Betting Integrity Agency (IBIA) as an integrity partner last month, agreeing to share data with the monitoring body’s global network.
BGC CEO Grainne Hurst said: “We are thrilled to welcome CopyBet as a member of our expanding and diverse membership at the BGC.
“We look forward to collaborating with CopyBet, and all our members, as we work together to raise standards across the industry.”
Anton Ivanov, business development director at CopyBet UK, praised the responsible gaming ramifications of its membership with the BGC.
He added: “CopyBet is pleased to announce its membership of the Betting and Gaming Council.
“We look forward to working with other members to help raise industry standards further and create a culture of safer betting.”
The BGC recently warned the UK government of the potential adverse effects of introducing a new single tax rate for online operators in the country.
