Sportingtech has expanded its collaboration with Continent 8 Technologies to build upon its cybersecurity infrastructure.
As a long-term partner, Sportingtech has relied on Continent 8’s cloud solutions for strong connectivity, availability and uptime across its platforms.
The partnership now grows to include the global network solutions provider’s comprehensive cybersecurity services, enhancing the overall security posture of Sportingtech’s operations.
Michael Jack, Chief Technology Officer of Sportingtech, commented: “Sportingtech is excited to expand our partnership with Continent 8 by incorporating their MSOC and SIEM services into our cybersecurity operations.
“Their tailored service approach aligns perfectly with our need for bespoke, reliable, and responsive cybersecurity solutions. This partnership empowers us to enhance our security posture while maintaining the flexibility and attention to detail that drive our success.”
In further detail, Sportingtech will integrate Continent 8’s Managed Security Operations Centre (MSOC) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) services.
These solutions provide 24/7 monitoring, advanced threat detection and proactive risk management through integrated threat intelligence, bolstering Sportingtech’s security and operational integrity.
“Continent 8 is excited to further its collaboration with Sportingtech as both its infrastructure and cybersecurity partner,” added Patrick Gardner, Vice President and Chief Security Officer at Continent 8.
“We have been powering and protecting the igaming and online sports betting market for over 25 years, and our MSOC and SIEM services will provide the necessary threat prevention, detection and response framework to safeguard Sportingtech’s extensive gaming operations.”
Recently, Continent 8’s Product Principal of Secure Solutions, Craig Lusher, discussed with SBC News how the group tackles evolving compliance challenges across the gambling landscape.
He said: “The primary driver behind the PCI Security Standards Council’s move to PCI DSS 4.0 is the evolving cyber threat landscape and the need to continually enhance the security of payment card data.
“As technology advances and new vulnerabilities emerge, it’s crucial to update the standards to address these challenges effectively.
“PCI DSS 4.0 introduces several key changes aimed at strengthening security measures, promoting flexibility, and supporting innovative technologies. The updated standard places a greater emphasis on risk analysis, enabling organisations to tailor their security controls based on their unique risk environment.”
