Kwiff has announced its new partnership with the Scottish Premier League team Motherwell, becoming the club’s back-of-shirt sponsor.
The partnership is set to begin with the 2025-26 season, during which Kwiff will also serve as Motherwell’s official betting partner, as part of a two-year agreement. This partnership marks Kwiff’s first entrance into Scottish football and will offer branding opportunities on both home and away kits.
Garry McGibbon, the director of Kwiff’s marketing arm, Spryme Limited, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We’re very pleased to join forces with Motherwell FC, a club with a proud history and passionate fans. Working with Motherwell gives us the perfect opportunity to introduce our brand to Scottish supporters, and we’re looking forward to supporting Motherwell in the upcoming campaign.”
Motherwell’s commercial director, Suzanne Reid, shared her excitement about the new partnership: “Welcoming Kwiff as our official betting partner and back-of-shirt sponsor for the 2025-26 season is the perfect way to kick-start the new campaign. It’s great to have Kwiff behind us for the next two seasons at least, marking the club’s biggest back-of-shirt agreement. I look forward to working with them and thank them for supporting the club.”
Gambling firms prominently feature as sponsors across Scottish football, with notable examples including Celtic sponsored by Dafabet, Rangers by Unibet, Dundee United by QuinnCasino, and a recent two-year sleeve sponsorship deal between Hibernian and Smarkets’ SBK brand. Additionally, William Hill sponsors all four divisions of Scottish football.
Earlier this year, Kwiff also became a sleeve sponsor for Millwall during a one-off FA Cup fifth round match against Crystal Palace. Moreover, in March, Kwiff was appointed the official betting partner of Curragh Racecourse and will sponsor eight handicap races throughout July and August.
The two-year sponsorship agreement with Motherwell will commence with the start of the 2025-26 season, marking an important milestone as Kwiff expands its presence within Scottish football.
