Dabble has officially gone live in the UK, with the challenger brand now looking to replicate the success it has seen in its native Australia with its blend of sports betting, social media and community.

Dabble was granted a UK licence by the Gambling Commission last month and had originally planned for a June launch.

Instead, the operator’s iOS app is available for download now, while there are plans to launch an Android version of the app in the near future.

Ahead of the UK launch, Dabble built out a team in Leeds, with staff there augmented by a remote workforce.

The operator is continuing to recruit for UK staff following its launch, with live job ads up for marketing co-ordinators, customer service agents and a head of legal and compliance.

Features going live in the UK include a personalised feed in which players can see what their friends are betting on, similar to a social media app.

The operator’s rocket boost will also be available to UK customers, offering an odds boost via a mini crash game where players have to stop a rocket before it crashes to apply a multiplier.

Standard bet builders for multiple sports including football and horseracing are also live, as well as copy cash, which sees players paid 10p if someone copies their bet – win, lose or draw.

Dabble is offering several promotions to consumers including £10 in free bets, with no deposit needed, to all new customers as well as £10 in free bets for every friend a player refers to the operator.

Posting on LinkedIn, the operator wrote: “The Dabble rocket keeps rising and today, we officially launch in our third region.

“Our team has worked tirelessly to get us here, and we’re ready to take the UK by storm.

“With our entertainment-first, community-driven approach, we’re redefining what betting looks like and we can’t wait to show the UK what we can do.”

Speaking exclusively to EGR earlier this yearDabbleCEO Tom Rundle called the UK market “one of the least innovated” markets globally.

Dabble is also live in its native Australia and in the US, where it offers daily fantasy sports.
