Stake has unveiled a new remote gaming server (RGS) that the operator claims will allow startup and established developers to launch games without “barriers”.

Stake Engine, which has already been used to help develop Stake’s in-house casino content, will now open up to third parties to support launches.

Stake said that once games have been developed and launched on Stake’s B2C sites, the operator will pay developers 10% of GGR derived from the respective game each month as part of the commercial agreement.

The firm noted that over the past 12 months, games built on Stake Engine have generated more than $3.3bn (£2.5bn) in turnover.

Existing studios to have launched via the RGS include Twist, Titan and Massive Games.

The operator added that three titles listed in Stake’s top 50 games by total bets in Q1 came from titles that were built on the Stake Engine.

Developers and studios that apply to work on the Stake Engine will be provided with a “full end-to-end developer stack”.

Stake also claimed that concept games can be launched in days, citing the benefits of “no pitching, no storefront politics and no delays” for developers.

The company said: “Whether you’re an indie creator or a full-scale studio, Stake Engine offers everything you need to build, deploy and grow games on your terms.

“Stake Engine has no templates, no restrictions and no gatekeeping. If it plays well and meets our standards, you can build it, launch it and own it.”

Multiple game types were suggested as possible options by Stake, including slots, wheel-based mechanics and original IP.

Brais Pena, chief strategy officer at parent company Easygo, said: “Stake Engine is built for creators, with speed, freedom and scale baked in.

“Stake Engine is more than just infrastructure, it’s a launchpad for the next generation of igaming creators.

“We’ve taken everything we’ve learned building the world’s most popular online casino and packaged it into a platform that removes barriers, unlocks creativity and delivers scale from day one.

“Stake Engine is what happens when the biggest operator in igaming builds for the builders. It’s not just a platform. It’s our commitment to the next generation of game creators.”
