Former Resorts Digital Gaming (RDG) CEO Ed Andrewes has announced the launch of his new consultancy firm, iGaming Advisory Services.
The move marks Andrewes’ first public venture since his departure from RDG back in November 2024.
Andrewes left the New Jersey-based firm after nine years of service following its acquisition by Boyd Interactive.
Boyd Interactive acquired RDG from parent company Resorts Casino in an undisclosed deal in September.
Under the remit of the deal, the casino operator assumed control of the ResortsCasino.com and MoheganSunCasino.com brands in the process.
The deal allows Boyd Interactive to operate multiple online casino brands across New Jersey, expanding its presence in the Garden State.
The operator recorded online revenue of $189m for Q4 2024, representing a 52% increase year-on-year.
Andrewes first joined RDG in June 2015 after he co-founded and served as CEO for firm Locus Gaming from March 2012 to September 2014.
Prior to that, Andrewes held directorial level roles at several UK-based firms between 2000 and 2011.
He worked as managing director for Ladbrokes from February 2008 to April 2011 after a stint as a board director at 32Red from 2006 to 2007.
Andrewes also held the role of managing director at Victor Chandler (now BetVictor) between March 2004 and November 2005.
Before that he had a four-year stint as commercial director at Rank Interactive from 2000 to 2004.
Writing on LinkedIn, Andrewes said: “I’ve launched iGaming Advisory Services. ‘Does what it says on the tin’ in that we offer consulting support across the igaming space – and I’m pleased to say we’re already working with a couple of clients.”
