Xpoint has announced the appointment of Tom Flaherty as the geolocation supplier’s new CFO in a strengthening of its C-suite.
In his new role, Flaherty will look to spearhead the company’s fundraising efforts while streamlining operational performance.
In his capacity as CFO, Flaherty will work closely with CEO Manu Gambhir as well as the rest of the executive team.
The appointment marks the latest in a long line of CFO positions Flaherty has held across his career.
Most recently, he served as CFO for accounts payable solutions provider ActiveWorx from July 2020.
During his time with the company, he helped lead on a successful exit last year when it was snapped up by HighRadius.

Prior to that, he worked as CFO for New Jersey-based technology company AetherPal between 2014 and 2019.
Between 2012 and 2014 Flaherty held another CFO role, this time at software distributor and reseller Climb Global Solutions.
Before a stint as vice-president of finance at StemCyte Cord Blood Bank between 2008 and 2012, Flaherty served as co-founder and CFO for bicycle manufacturer Bike-Time from 2000 to 2004.
His first CFO role came at startup toy company GeeWhiz Toys, a position he held from 1997 to 2000.
Speaking about his appointment, Flaherty said: “I’m excited to join Xpoint at this pivotal juncture and I look forward to collaborating with the team to drive sustainable growth, enhance our operational capabilities and create long‑term value for our stakeholders through strategic financial leadership.”
Gambhir added: “We are thrilled to welcome Tom to Xpoint, and he joins us at a very exciting time for the company where we are ramping up our efforts to further establish ourselves as a leading geolocation technology provider in the igaming space.
“Tom’s extensive experience in driving financial strategy, especially within the technology sector, will be invaluable as we continue to expand our global footprint.”
Xpoint, along with Radar, OpenBet and IC360, are the collection of geolocation suppliers looking to challenge GeoComply’s dominance in the US market.
