Catena Media has named Justin Geiger its new vice-president of commercial, where he will be tasked with leading the firm’s revenue-growth ambitions.
The exec joins from Betsperts Media & Technology Group after only two years where, as chief revenue officer, he led commercial strategy across several brands and helped shape monetisation plans.
Prior to joining Betsperts in December 2022, he spent nearly two years with Spotlight Sports Group as vice-president of commercial partnerships. According to his LinkedIn page, he helped secure “six media deals” in the US and the company’s “first paid content deal with a professional sports league”.
Geiger began his career in the gambling industry in August 2018 as senior manager at regulatory compliance firm Vixio, where he stayed until December 2020.
Before moving into the sector, he held several executive and director roles for defence intelligence duo IHS Jane’s and IHS Markit.
Announcing his new role at Catena Media on LinkedIn, Geiger thanked his old colleagues while adding that he looked forward to the “opportunities” he could achieve together with the affiliate.
“I am thrilled to share that I am starting a new chapter as the VP of commercial at Catena Media,” he said.
“This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible team at Betsperts Group. I am deeply grateful for the support, collaboration and friendships I’ve built with such talented colleagues.
“Your passion and dedication have inspired me every step of the way.”
He added: “As I look forward to the opportunities at Catena Media, I am excited about the potential we have to achieve great things together.

Geiger’s appointment came a week after Thomas Bergqvist stepped down from the Catena Media board after five years.
