On September 23, Shangri La Casino in Batumi, Georgia, was officially closed following irreconcilable differences between the partners of the casino. Storm International, with over 30 years of expertise in managing casinos, made the decision to protect the integrity and reputation of the Shangri La brand.

Michael Boettcher, founder of Storm International, stated: “We are not willing to compromise on the values that define our brand. To maintain the integrity and stability of Shangri La, we have made the decision to close the casino in Batumi.”

According to the statement from Storm International: “Shangri La brand is know for high quality and standards, and Storm’s decision reflects its refusal to work under principles that clash with those values. The company remains committed to maintaining its reputation for excellence, which is why the closure was deemed necessary to preserve the brand’s image.”

Despite this closure in Batumi, Shangri La casinos in Tbilisi and Yerevan, as well as its online platform, continue to operate.
