South Korean casino operator Paradise Co has opened a new VIP venue at its Casino Walkerhill property in Seoul as it looks to tap into high-end players from China and Japan.
Paradise renovated the second floor of the buffet restaurant at Grand Walkerhill Seoul into a casino and turned it into a 1062㎡ space dedicated to high rollers.
A Paradise Group official said: “This expansion will be an important opportunity to secure hardware and high-roller customers that can gain an overwhelming competitive advantage as an industry leader. We will strengthen our position as a first mover by upgrading the competitiveness of VIP-only facilities and services across all business sites and transforming into a smart casino that applies new digital technologies.”
Opened in 1968, Paradise Casino Walkerhill has been driving VIP revenue in the foreigner-only casino market. The new VIP location will be a membership space for the top one per cent of customers. As part of the Paradise Value Up project, big players from China and Japan are targeted. Paradise will provide a total of seven private rooms and lounges, as well as customized high-end services and high-quality gaming experiences.
With the expansion of Paradise Casino Walkerhill for the first time in nine years, the total area has increased from 3,934.60 square meters to 4,587.26 square meters. There are a total of 112 table games and 213 machine games, an increase of 19 from the previous year.
Paradise Group expects to continue to increase sales by 22 billion won in 2025 and 32 billion won in 2026 based on the new VIP branch of Casino Walkerhill. Next month, the company plans to open a new international lounge at Gimpo Airport to further accelerate the attraction of VIP customers.
