Sportingtech, a firm that provides comprehensive betting and gaming solutions, has secured certification from Gaming Laboratories International (GLI).

This certification endorses Sportingtech’s compliance with all essential criteria to operate legally in Brazil’s upcoming regulated market. This development enables operators eager to enter this market to collaborate with Sportingtech’s verified platform, which meets all regulatory requirements.

According to the regulations established by Brazil’s Secretariat for Prizes and Betting (SPA), operators seeking to obtain a license must provide additional certification documents with their application to demonstrate compliance with the necessary technical standards.

Once approved, operators can begin the process of paying the licensing fee, which is currently set at 30 million BRL (approximately £3.9 million).

Earlier this year, GLI pioneered obtaining local accreditation from SPA to certify betting systems, live gaming studios, and online games.

Antoinette Caruana, Head of Technical Compliance at Sportingtech, commented, “Achieving certification for Brazil in accordance with the Brazilian Secretariat of Prizes and Betting’s requirements represents a crucial achievement for Sportingtech. It underscores our steadfast commitment to regulatory excellence and our ability to adapt to evolving market needs. We are committed to guiding operators through each stage, ensuring they are well-prepared for success in the regulated Brazilian market.”
