LeoVegas Group, a prominent online gambling provider, has become a member of the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA).

By joining EGBA, LeoVegas demonstrates its dedication to playing a significant role in industry collaboration and setting standards. The company plans to use its membership to advocate for enhanced representation of EGBA in key areas, such as the Nordic region.

As part of this partnership, LeoVegas will actively participate in EGBA’s initiatives and working groups focused on responsible advertising, safer gambling, and implementing the latest EU anti-money laundering regulations affecting the digital industry.

One notable initiative is the annual Safer Gambling Week campaign organized by EGBA. This year’s event saw a record increase in participation, engaging 30% more users than the previous year.

Carl Brincat, Director of Policy & Regulatory Affairs at LeoVegas Group, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration: “Our commitment to safer gambling and technological innovation aligns with EGBA’s mission, and we are eager to contribute our knowledge to their important initiatives.”

“This partnership perfectly complements our vision to lead the way towards a sustainable and well-regulated gambling industry in Europe,” Brincat added.

Welcoming LeoVegas, Maarten Haijer, Secretary General of EGBA, stated, “We are thrilled to have LeoVegas Group join our membership roster as we close the year. Their leadership in the industry, particularly in the Nordic market, will greatly enhance our collective efforts to promote a well-regulated and sustainable gambling sector in Europe.”

“We anticipate collaborating with our new colleagues to uphold high industry standards,” Haijer concluded.
