Regulators in Arkansas are reviewing applications that could allow DraftKings and FanDuel to offer sports betting through partnerships with the state’s casinos.
If approved, the two operators would have permission to partner with Arkansas’s three licensed casinos, which are the Oaklawn Casino in Hot Springs, the Saracen Casino in Pine Bluff, and the Southland Casino in West Memphis.
Currently, the casinos offer their own sports betting, as BetSaracen partners with the Saracen Casino Resort, Betly Sportsbook with Southland Casino, and Oaklawn Sports with Oaklawn Casino.
State law requires these arrangements to be approved by the Arkansas Racing Commission (ARC) and any third-party partnerships to allocate at least 51% of revenue to the in-state casino. It would be up to the casinos to decide if they want to enter into agreements with third-party operators, and if they do, the casinos would co-brand sports betting apps, integrating their existing operations with national platforms.
The ARC hasn’t yet set a final date for reviewing the applications, but a meeting is expected by the end of February 2026.
At the moment, DraftKings operates in 27 states and offers Daily Fantasy Sports in Arkansas, but doesn’t provide online sports betting there, while FanDuel provides its services in 26 states.
