Betsson Group, Novibet, Kaizen Gaming and PlayOJO emerged victorious in their respective operator of the year categories at the EGR Europe Awards yesterday, 18 February.

The second edition of the pan-continental awards was held at the Hilton Malta in St Julian’s and saw 28 titles handed out on the night.

The event, hosted by comedian Frank Zammit, brought together top execs from operators, suppliers and affiliates from all across Europe.

Betsson came out on top in the Nordics and Baltics while Novibet won the Balkans and Southern Europe section.

PlayOJO was named operator of the year for UK and Ireland and Kaizen Gaming took home the trophy for Central and Eastern Europe.

It was a good evening for Betsson as it also scored the European ESG initiative of the year and European responsible gambling initiative of the year awards.

Better Collective left the ceremony with a brace of trophies for Western Europe affiliate of the year and the Nordics and Baltics affiliate of the year, while Sportradar, GeoComply, Alea and Evolution also all secured wins during the event.

As with all of EGR’s awards, the process was independently officiated by accountancy giant Deloitte.

EGR would like to thank the event’s sponsors – BETBY, Mindway AI, Soft2Bet, FIRST, Paytently, Pragmatic Play, ENJOY, Arnold Ash and headline sponsor SPRIBE – for their support.
