BetHog’s chief marketing officer (CMO), Kyle Wachtel, has announced his impending departure from the company.

Wachtel leaves his role with the crypto-centric operator after 14 months, having initially joined in October 2024.

He moved to the company to reunite with former colleagues and Nigel Eccles (ex-FanDuel CEO) and Rob Jones (ex-FanDuel executive vice-president), who co-founded the operator.

The platform officially launched in November 2024 after securing $6m worth of seed funding.

The C-suite role with BetHog saw Wachtel oversee the growth, VIP, CRM and social media departments.

Prior to joining BetHog, Wachtel served as vice-president and head of partnerships at BetMGM for nearly six years between January 2019 and October 2024.

He also spent five years at FanDuel from July 2013 to January 2019, his last role with the operator being that of director of marketing partnerships.

Wachtel initially joined the company in a customer support role, before going on to hold several affiliate centric positions during his time with the company.

One of the initiatives he oversaw was the launch of an AI blackjack dealer for BetHog’s online casino product, which was announced in September.

Announcing the news of his departure on LinkedIn, Wachtel wrote: “I’m moving on from my role as CMO at BetHog. It’s been a privilege to build a new business from scratch alongside Nigel Eccles and a great group of partners including Flexsy, Sportradar and Optimove.

“It’s rewarding to reflect on how much has been accomplished in such a short period of time and I’m wishing the team the best ahead.

“A short break to refresh is in store, though I’m already looking forward to exploring what’s next. After working through the transition in recent weeks, I’ll officially be a ‘free agent’ in a few days.”
