Kaizen Gaming has announced the launch of its Betano brand in Ghana as the Greek operator’s global expansion continues at pace.

Ghana becomes the 20th regulated market the operator is live in, when including its Stoiximan B2B operations, with the launch marking its first market entry of 2026.

Players in the country will now have access to the Betano sportsbook and casino, with the operator pointing to Ghana’s “strong digital adoption and long-term potential” in its launch announcement.

The product will be available via www.betano.com.gh.

Kaizen Gaming has named Joseph Owusu Badu its country manager for the launch.

Owusu Badu most recently served as regional country marketing manager for betPawa. He also served as a country manager for Betika.

The launch event of Betano Ghana was attended by Badu and Kaizen Gaming director of business development George Skarlatos.

The firm’s senior business development advisor Daniel Lamberti and Ghana Gaming Commission acting commissioner Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo were also in attendance.

Skarlatos commented: “Ghana is a market with strong long-term potential, an increasingly tech-oriented population and a clear commitment to building a structured and transparent regulatory environment.

“Through our strong local partnerships, and with responsibility fully embedded across our technology, processes and operations, we are fully aligned with Ghana’s regulatory framework to support a safe, well-functioning and trusted experience for all players from day one.”

Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo, Ghana Gaming Commission acting commissioner, added: “We welcome Betano’s entry into Ghana.

“Ensuring high standards are met by all operators is crucial in safeguarding player protection and maintaining market integrity.

“Kaizen Gaming and Betano show clear commitment to these principles, and we look forward to their continued cooperation and focus on upholding safe operations for all.”

Betano entered Belgium last March, following its entry in Colombia back in November 2024 and in the UK via a white-label deal with BVGroup earlier that year.

Ghana marks Betano’s 18th market. Kaizen Gaming is operational in Greece and Cyprus via Stoiximan which it runs on a B2B basis.

Last year, Betano penned sponsorship deals with Brazilian football club Flamengo, Denmark’s Brøndby IF and Argentina’s River Plate as it boosted its presence across Europe and the Americas.

Kaizen Gaming was named EGR Operator of the Year for the second year in a row last October.

As per the Gaming Commission of Ghana, an online sports betting licence costs $500,000 (£365,254).
